It Snowed Today

Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
It doesn't show signs of stopping
And I've bought some corn for popping
The lights are turned way down low
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

When we finally kiss goodnight
How I'll hate going out in the storm!
But if you'll really hold me tight
All the way home I'll be warm
The fire is slowly dying
And, my dear, we're still goodbying
But as long as you love me so
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
**********************************************************
It snowed today out here in Rhode Island and it was pretty bad.
My entire campus lost power for about 3 hours
The roads and highways were icy
And boy was it cold!
When it snows it's cold and it only causes problems
I seriously hate the snow--can't you tell?

Seriously though, I have a very low tolerance for cold weather. Partially because I'm Anemic, but mainly because I'm African.

I've never been to Africa a day in my life, but you would think that I was born and raised there because of how much I love the heat.
Or at least from the South since it's so warm there.
But NOPE
I was born and raised on Staten Island, New York and I HATE THE COLD!
Since there was a major power loss on the entire campus there was only 1 of 3 dining halls open. My girls called me and said we should go eat early since the entire campus would have to go to this one dining hall.
Although I hate the snow it was sooo pretty.
So I brought my cam and started click click clicking away.

WOW! From this girl born and raised in the south, I wish I was there, just to experience it once. I want to travel to the north east. It looks beautiful. And being with your friends, wilding out in the snow sounds like so much fun. Enjoy and be safe!

I was just visiting random blogs and came across yours...We have the same name, different spelling...Funny thing is that I was born and raised on Long Island...Hahaha...What a small world eh? I'll be stopping in regularly to say hi...

Btw, I moved out to Arizona because I too, can not tolerate the cold. Just thinking about it gives me the chills! BRRRRR!

Mama Beryl....
It looks beautiful, thats about it.
Snow is nothing but a big complication.
The roads become soo icy that it's very dangerous to drive.
Even the grounds are icy that it's dangerous to walk.
My step mother slipped on ice last year and broke her ankle.
And when it snows, its COLD!
Stay right where you're at--you're better off.
:-)

Hey Jenelle...
That felt funny.
I don't know anyone else with my name. I knew a couple Channell's, Shanell's, and Chantell's, but never another Jenell, that's how mine is spelled.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, I am always delighted to have new people join my blog family, epsecially when they're from New York. LOL

Hey Ruben...
I wish I could see that--that would be hella funny.

Hey Alli...
Welcome. Thanks for stopping by my blog, I am always delighted to have new people join my blog family.

I'm right there with you on hating the snow and feeling cold.

What part of Africa did you live in? My parents are from Liberia, it's in West Africa.

It looks pretty -- but I know better. I spent 28 years in Connecticut and I do not miss the snow storms one bit! I hate the shoveling, the driving, the extra clothing ... blech!

What an exciting experience you've had. I hope to travel to Africa, especially my country some day.
