Sunday Fortune

"Happiness doesn't depend upon who you are or what you have; it depends
upon what you think."
-- Dale Carnegie

"Every good thought you think is contributing its share to the ultimate
result of your life."
--Grenville Kleiser

I've been praising the Lord and thinking happy thoughts. And sure
enough, He is bringing them into existence.

What happy thoughts do you have?

What & how we think is so important...so very important. It shapes our lives.

I'm planning & looking forward to my bright future! That is my happy thought for today!

Thank you for this post. WOuld like to refer you to this very cerebral post by a Westerner living in Ghana:http://liveafrica.blogspot.com/. The post is entitled "Whose house do you live in?" PLease do check it out.

In the meantime, I think I'll write a post about this post of yours tomorrow. For now:

I am happy to have both parents alive;

I am happy to have a loving and caring dog who makes me laugh EVERY DAY;

I am happy to have been blessed with a brilliant and caring and annoying brother who had to go to heaven way too early to prepare my coming;-);

I am happy to have met my girlfriend when I least expected to meet any woman;

I am happy to be in the job I am in;

I am blessed to have all my faculties

I am grateful for all these, and though I don't visit a church as often enough, I am happy to be blessed with a compassion that is unprecedented and a stubborness that sets my proactiveness on overdrive!:-)

I am grateful for my parents and family, and would not trade them--warts and all--for any other family. Though I do wish the folks sometimes revised their thinking and outlook on modern life!!

I am just happy to be among other happy people on the blogosphere, in real everyday life and even those that I'm not aware of out there that are living life to it's fullest. What else would we be doing this thing called life for? What's happening JB?

I found the hard way that being happy isn't a reasonable goal, but that in every situation I am content. Whether in feast or famine I should be able to say, "It is well with my soul."
