Socrates

"It is not difficult to avoid death; it is much more difficult to avoid wickedness, for it runs faster then death"
--Socrates

As a Philosopher, a lover of wisdom by intellectual means, I LOVE Socrates.
The Brother speaks the truth.

What does this quote mean to you?

Wickedness is usually more attractive and better disguised. Wickedness prays on common human nature. Death is the messenger.

Actually wikedness doesn't pray, but it does prey. :) Hi, I'm a teacher by trade.

Hmmm....
Interesting concept.

To me, it is not difficult to avoid death, because it is inevitable. We are all destined to die and there is nothing that we can do about that.
As for wickedness, we face this evil daily making it much more difficult to avoid and the true test is depicted in how we all choose to live our lives.
It runs faster then death because in almost every situation we have an option to do something evil, but it is not the same with death. The option of death is not something we face regularly, but it something we will face ultimately, thus it runs slower.

I'm a LOVER of WISDOM

Ruben...
My brother, you are very welcome. Sylvester is truly enjoying himself now. What we call fun down here ain't nuthin!

I found this scripture for you Ruben....

2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Praise be to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves received from God.

So with that, I say to you take his comfort and give it to Sylvesters family.

My prayers are with you.
Always.
