JenellyBean: The Poet

I wrote this poem tonight
Why?
I don't even know...
Yea, that's why--cus I'm confused.....

Confusion
It's within me
Twisting my emotions
Pushing my buttons
Taking over my body
Feeling me up and down
Penetrating my mind like the Gospel
Yet I cannot say No

Confusion
I can feel it
I can taste it
I can smell it
I can hear it
It won't shut up
It's screaming in my ear like the buzzing of silence
Yet I cannot silence it

Confusion
has blurred my vision
has perplexed my brain
has disoriented my words
has smothered my senses
has muffled my conscience
has tangled my heart and pulled on both ends
Yet I cannot let go

Mine too. Must be something in the air. Great poem.

It's great when we can record our emotions. It's seems extemporaneous like a Coltrane set. I like.

Hey Ruben...
Nice to see you, what have you been confused about my brotha?

Welcome Chele...
Nice of you to stop by. I'm glad that you like my poem, but do you really think it's great? I just sat here all confused and they words just came forth like a Tsunami--it flooded me, deep.

Hey Stephen...
How you been?
Are you describing my poem as "xtemporaneous like a Coltrane set"?
Really? It really reminds you of a kind of jazz?
Wow.

I'm really thankful of all the compliments.
The best poems, to me, are the poems that people can relate to and although I was just dishing out my water, i can see that my cup runneth over.

Thanks y'all

Yes, I think that it is because you didn't know why you even wrote it. It seems like it just flowed from you like an emotion. The only difference is that you are using typing keys instead of a saxophone's reed.

Oh yes Laura (Angeleyes) there has.
I'm confused about a couple things.
One is my career plans. I'm an acculturated lawyer. I've developed this skill in reasoning and a passion for the legal system and the application of its principles.
BUT
I was born a TEACHER
and I'm so confused because my present path does not allow for teaching until later later later in my life.

Thank you brother Bohemian.
I am so happy that you have blessed my blog (along with brother Stephen, brother Ruben, and Sister Chele on this topic).

It's ironic how you say I put "Confusion" in a very "Clear" manner.

:-D

LOL!
"They don't even know they are confused "
So TRUE!
(that was very tickling, but oh so sad.)

They are the worse ones!
Just like my favorite part in your peom "A Soulmate?"
"I can't even find my own soul
but I need a soulmate?
I don't know what I want from life
but I want my soulmate?

If y'all havent checked his poem out please do so... matter fact, her it go:

A Soulmate?

The hope of a real soulmate
waiting for me is the cause
of my eternal suffering.
Why is someone waiting for me?
Why isn't he moving ahead in his life
instead of waiting for me?
If I can walk fast I'll catch up
but then why do I have to catch up?
Who am I running after? A soulmate?
I can't even find my own soul
but I need a soulmate?
I don't know what I want from life
but I want my soulmate?
Why can't I find myself worthy enough
of being my own soulmate?
And just keep walking.
Someone may come along
or someone may not come along
But I shall not wait,
I am... my own soulmate.
