Birthday Weekend in NEW YORK

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RAMIREZ!!!

My home girl, Ramirez's birthday is today and we spent the weekend in NY celebrating.

She has never been to New York and being that I live in NY I figured what better way to celebrate the birthday then to go up to NY and hang out.

My main focus for the weekend was to show her how I really live. People at my school have different conceptions of New York and it consists of Manhattan and Long Island--I don't live like that. So I wanted her to see Staten Island and Brooklyn.

She's only 20 as of today so we kept it legal... I don't drink much anyways--the only thing I do drink is Red Passion Alize.

So our first stop in the Big Apple was TIMES SQUARE

You have to go to Times Square when you go to NY--its just soo much fun

AND EXPENSIVE!!!

Most people that live in NY spend very little time in Times Square. Its a good tourist attraction because theres so much going on out there. Clubs, Bars, Restaurants, Cafe's, Stores, Shops, street vendors, cars, lights, and a bunch of Crazies!!!

So for my homegirl, who goes to bed by 10 O'clock everynight, she was in complete awe when she seen the streets filled with people and cars at midnight.

"There are people older then my mother out here!"

We walked all around Times Square, mainly 40th-49th and between 6th and 8th.

We stopped in some of the shops and widow shopped.

We grabbed a pizza slice at Ray's Pizza (48th & Broadway) and then walked around somemore.

We stopped by Rockerfella Center but it was closing so we didn't get to see much but thats okie.

Saturday was a cool day, we slept late then went for a 2 mile walk in the park.

After our walk, we got ready to do some shopping. I took her to the Shopping center at the corner of Atlantic and Flatbush.

After shopping we had dinner at one of my favorite Mexican Restaurants, Burrito Bar & Kitchen
on Flatbush ave. Dinner was great.

Way to go on showing her the great sights and sounds of New York. Nothing speaks NY, and nothing captures the true essence of the city like Times Square! Expensive, oh hell yeah, but it's worth it. Nicely done...

I'm a little mad they have the 2007 glasses out already. Good job showing off the city. Glad you both had fun.

Why are you mad that they have the 2007 glasses out? Are you in denial that we will be screaming HAPPY NEW YEAR!! in just 27 DAYS!!!

Jennelley, you are looking as sexy as always, and your friend, Ramirez, aint bad either;-) Yum;-)

On a more serious note, forgive me for the absence, but I do visit your blog off and on. As it's a new month, I am going to radicalise my visiting of my favourite blogs, so you shall see me here more often--I decree this!!:-))

Incidentally, I think I have to say that underscoring this post is not just the beautiful sights of New York, but the VERY good friendship you have with Ramirez; she must be very proud. Kudos!!
